Location: Bangkok. Day’s Highlight: Ferry hopping (3 baht/7 pence per trip) and fish soup street food.
We’re new to Thailand.
Our stomachs are still getting used to the food. So we found OFFICIALLY the BEST pad Thai in the Capital of Thailand – so we knew it had to be good…
… though not enough of these in it for my liking (spotted at Bangkok’s flower market):
Our heads are getting used to the time difference, so some snoozing by the pool has occurred, while watched over by this kind dragon:
Our understanding of the culture is getting better, though the locals are all wearing a colour that we didn’t all pack:
… but we show our respect for the fallen king nonetheless:
We’re still getting used to the ferries:
… though they are only 3 baht/7p per trip, so what’s the worst that can happen?
We smashed out 10 miles of wandering around Bangkok and feel all the better for it.
Ok, that’s a lie, it’s super humid and for all of the things we are getting used to, the humidity isn’t one.
Final night in Bangkok and off to Chiang Mai tomorrow on a sleeper bus (with Karaoke… oh yes).
Keep up to date with updates about how we are getting on as we ride out our Late 20’s Crisis.
